At first I started sketching out some ideas.  But  it was decided that sketching was not working for several reasons.

1. The medium was too restrictive. The act of sketching in a room with a pencil and paper was not working.  It was preventing me from coming up with new ideas.

2. The concepts and forms that I would like to be producing wernt sketchable. The forms were so organic and fluid that even 3-d sketching wasn’t doing justice.

(Although there was a particular concept of seating that I liked and continued to work with in different ways)

3. Time- Sketching was time consuming. I needed to find a medium that allowed me to develop new concepts very quickly.
